My '56 was my first vehicle purchased in '76. I am the second owner. In HS I installed a 318 and a 3 speed. drove it over 150,000 miles. wrecked in Jackson Wy, rebuilt and there it sat. Started to put 4 wheel  drive in it but got distracted.

Ready to rebuild again for the third time. Planning on a Mustang II front end and 8 3/4 rear. I have a 360 crate engine and a A518 auto. No 4 wheel drive this time, I have enough of those. I will have questions and send pictures along the way. I still have a jeep Commando in the shop but it is almost ready to move out.

Welcome! sounds sweet can't wait to see the progress. very jealous of the Commando, I have always wanted one, i have a CJ5 right now and thinking about selling it for a Ramcharger or Commando. Always wanted to get or clone a Hurst edition Commando.
