new member from Massachusetts
I just wanted to say this looks like I could get a little info here for my 59. Looks like a cool site. Restoring a 59 Dodge power giant D700 tractor with a 354 hemi, all original, it is an x air force tractor that hauled tanks and jet fuel.

Sounds like a cool project, I like the Airforce part to since I am Active duty USAF and work with JP8 jet fuel tanker trucks everyday. Some pictures would be appreciated!

Sweet!!! I dont know if you are taking it back to being a restored USAF truck but those stickers with the tower lights are still being made exactly like that, I just stuck one in a Kia truck we have here in South Korea.

In korea for flight line vehicles they are we have a couple F250's but most are Kia Bongos and they are the worst made pos's you have ever seen they are tiny and not built for normal sized men. the Tugs we use for the jets though are pretty standard around the world they are 24 valve cummins powered MB4 NMC Wollard's. Back in the states from the bases Ive been to they all use Dodge/Chevy/Ford vehicles. I think its just cheaper for them to use Korean Kia Bongos.Rick59 wrote:USAF are using Kia ???

Re: new member from Massachusetts
Originally I bought the truck only for the hemi. After staring at truck for a while I didnt have the heart to torch it into pieces and then decided to restore it, [to my own color not air force strata blue restore], everyone called me crazy, but I have never seen anything like this around where I live or any aths shows, I currently go to aths shows with a 38 Dodge dump truck but I am sick of driving far at 50 mph, I am hoping this will do 65. but I wont know until I drive it. The hardest part I have dealt with is the lousy power steering setup, if that isnt bad enough its a heavy rare power steering assist setup, I have spent many hours on that setup trying to get it to stop leaking.
