Hello from Michigan

I came across this forum while browsing on Moparts earlier today and I am very glad that a great source of Dodge truck information like this exists. I have been a Mopar guy since 1970 when I started in drag racing first with the Rod Shop and later for the late Don Carlton when we ran the Missile cars. A couple years ago I purchased a 1949 B1B Dodge Pick Up from a friend who had brought the car to Michigan from California in 2005. He finally decided that it was never going to get built and lucky for me, I was in the right place at the right time. So far, the only thing I have done is start building the engine - a 276cid (now 300cid) Desoto Hemi. The rest of the project will need to wait until my wife and I sell our present home and move into something with a bit more shop space. As the project progresses, I will share the build and welcome any and all comments.
