Here is the right side, looks pretty normal for a 88 Dak. I don't think the suspension or brakes were ever worked on. I cut the left side rotor and it would not clean up, so I bought a new one. I will also get a new one for the right side when I get to it (they only had one).

Here is the left side all rebuilt. I like the red caliper but I know it isn't everyone's favorite. Also, I wanted a little color under there. I coated the frame with bed liner and the UCA/LCA in flat black epoxy. Rebuilt all with a PST kit.

I also took 1 coil off the spring, the Dak forums all are saying it will lower the vehicle by 3" which I find a little much, but we will see. As soon as I can get the right side done I will see what effect it really has.

Finally able to get back to work on the truck, the front suspension has been kicking my butt. I about have it sorted out, but then it is on to something else.

Sorry I have been gone but work and life have gotten in the way. I have been able to get some things done on the truck such as the front suspension, front brakes, rear brakes, gas tank modification and rear third member. I will post some pictures.

Here is my gas tank. I chose to use it because I fits and I like where the filler comes out. The problem is that the outlet was/is very small (like 1/4") and I may put EFI on the truck at some point, therefore I wanted an inlet and outlet and now was the best time to do it.

Here is where I decided to cut the tank. It is accessible from underneath the truck and moves the lines away from the exhaust.

I cut out the opening and then made a backing plate with a top plate, which is screwed down with 5 8x32 screws.

this is my pickup, it is 3/8 mild steel. I counter bored the AN fitting so it fit snugly into it and then welded it in.

Here it is all done. I will cap off the return line until I install an EFI system (should I decide to do that).

I need to press on some new axle bearings and then finish rebuilding the rear end. I am trying to design a pinion snubber system as I think this will need all the traction aids possible. I will also look at putting inside some type of rear sway bar.

Re: 52 Dodge B3B Hemi Project
thanks. Since the last post I got the axles rebuilt and installed as well as installing the stereo. Unfortunately I have been distracted by my Diesel truck, I am rebuilding the front end, installing a new lift pump and new air filter system. I hope to get this done rather quickly so I can get back to the 52.
