I think it would look ok with a black wheel.

I think I will do a test, paint one and put it on there and see how it goes.

working trans mounts now. Figured out I can use the stock gas tank which is a good thing.

Re: 52 Dodge B3B Hemi Project
unfortunately I got side tracked this weekend between a car show and converting my Ford 8N tractor to 12V. I did manage to get my trans mount finished and mocked up as well as finishing my tank mount. I will post some pics later.
My next big challenge will be the steering. I am contemplating rotating the RP down some which will be a significant amount of work but will make the steering linkage easier to route and connect. The 3/4" U joints are quite large and space is a bit limited.

I went with a Lokar nostalgia shifter, however I had some issues with ordering it. I bought one on slease bay from some rod parts company which said it was delivered, however I never received it. I think it was delivered somewhere in my town but not to me, so I had to buy another one from Summit.

Been working on getting the firewall rebuilt, unfortunately previous owners drilled holes liberally and seemingly without purpose all over it. I need a flat surface on the drivers side for the brake pedal assembly so I had to sort that out. I am finding out that I don't have a lot of space for the brake, steering shaft and gas pedal... I will post pics when I can.

Re: 52 Dodge B3B Hemi Project
ok. so I spent the weekend working on the brakes and steering. This entailed modifying the firewall and doing some repairs before I could actually move forward. What I have going here is I am using the 88 Dakota MC without the booster and I am using a modified Ebody brake pedal assembly. the steering is proving to be the most complicated and time consuming but I am confident I will get it done soon. I am going to post some pictures here so you can see where I am and am going.

this is the access port I made for the firewall. Since the truck was already wired and wires were terminated, I wanted to make the port big enough to get everything through but wanted to be able to close it down after everything was through. So I made a 2 part opening that will allow me to close the hole down to 3/4" once the wires are through. I started with a 3/5x4" plate, drilled a 3/4" hole into it, welded a ring around the opening, smoothed it down, then split it in half. I drilled and tapped the back plate so I could put in some #6 machine screws to hold the plates in place.

As you can tell by the welding, there were a lot of holes from who knows what that I had to close up.

Now, onto the brakes. Like most cars (at least Mopar's) there is a inner bracket which the brake pedal is on and then there is a otter bracket onto which the MC is attached. This is what I emulated. What I started with was a Ebody pedal bracket. I cut off the front tabs and the pedal (it was spot welded to the arm)

This is the firewall plate that will be under the hood that the MC will bolt to.

This is the highly modified pedal assembly. As you can see, I had to clearance the top left side to fit under one of my gauges. The plate on the front of the assembly is the part that would bolt to the dash. I ended up using a wider one and then contouring it to fit correctly.

here you can see the arm without the pedal. I did this to clear the steering column. it was only spot welded to the arm and I will reinstall it later.
