Just found the site:  Just got my '56 Town Panel, 1/2 ton, flathead 230 6, ]4 speed, back from my brother.  This truck originally started life as a City of Seattle Light Department truck.  My best friend's dad bought it in an auction for $417.00 around 1965.  I remember riding in it with him when he could get it away from his dad.  Around 1976 I bought it from his dad.  I drove it until 1987 when I sold it to my little brother for $350.  This was with the understanding that if he ever wanted to sell it, I had first dibs.  He drove it almost everyday to work for 15 years, keeping it in his garage at night as his wife didn't want it in front of their house.  When he got a promotion and a company truck the old panel sat in his garage for the next 10 years.  He gave me the option, so I instead of the $350 that it was suppose to cost, I traded him a 50's Seeburg V200 Jukebox for the truck he, threw in his share of my old 1973 Yamaha 650, that I had purchased new, that's still sitting in my Mom's garage.  Anyways, I have my old truck back.  It's almost pure stock, purr's like a kitten, but needs brake work, a new radiator and a good cleaning up under the hood.  After I get it road worthy I'll consider getting it repainted to it's original yellow.  I may be able to post a link to a similar truck taken way back when the city used them everyday.  When I figure out how I'll put up a couple shots of the panel.  Thanks for the site, finding anything current on these old Dodge's is difficult.  Bob
